After a stellar career at Spring Hill High School, Dani Townley will continue to play softball at the D-I University of Missouri-Kansas City.
She made it official Dec. 17, signing a national letter of intent in front of family and friends in the school’s library.
“I always wanted to attend UMKC,” said Townley, who will major in Nursing. I really liked the coaches, players and facilities. It seems like a good fit.”
Townley was a four year letterwinner in softball and volleyball and played one year of basketball.
She earned All-Frontier league honors at first base and third base the past two seasons.
For now, Townley will focus on helping the Spring Hill softball team return to the State tournament.
“We have most of our team back from last year’s state qualifier,” she said. So everyone is excited about this season.
Dani is the daughter of Eddi and Susan Townley of Spring Hill.
