Providing boys and girls in grades three through eight with basic skills in the game of volleyball is the goal of a Winter Break Volleyball Camp being offered by the Johnson County Park andRecreation District.
This four-day camp will take place over winter break, Dec. 28 – 31, at two JCPRD locations: Okun Fieldhouse in the Mid-America West Sports Complex, 20200 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, and at the New Century Fieldhouse, 551 New Century Parkway, near Gardner. The program will begin at 9 a.m. at Okun and at 1:30 p.m. at New Century. Participants will be divided into groups based on age and ability. Serving, passing, and setting will be covered. The overall aim is to provide a positive learning environment in which participants can improve their skills. This camp is limited to 100 participants at each site.

These camps are also eligible for credit in the physical dimension for the JCPRD U holistic wellness program for participants ages three to 18.
