The awards continue to come in for Spring Hill junior cross country runner Dylan Brenneman.
Last week Brenneman earned Tri County Spotlight Runner of the year award. He took runner-up at the 4A State meet in Wamego with a time of 16 minutes, 18 seconds.
“I’m excited Dylan is being recognized for all his hard work,” said Coach Brent Smitheran. He continues to exceed our expectations time and again.
Brenneman was a Regional 4A title winner at Baldwin earlier this year and took second at the State 4A meet in Wamego. He also took runner-up honors at the Frontier league meet at Lewis-Young Park in a 5k time of 16:17.
Since the conclusion of the high school season, Brenneman posted a personal and season best with a fourth place 5k time of 15:52 at the Nationals in Lexington, Kentucky.
“Ever since the end of the season, Dylan continues to improve and posted his season best at Nationals,” added Smitheran.
