The Gardner Edgerton High School Blazer cross country teams turned in top performances at the 6A state meet at Lone Elm Park in Olathe last weekend.
Eleven of the fourteen varsity runners posted season best times, including four year letter winner Miranda Tenove. Tenove dropped one minute and 37 seconds from her previous personal record during the event.
The girls’ team took seventh place and finished the season with 40 wins and 55 losses, while the boys finished the season with a 29-78 record.
Top finishers for GEHS included Carson Hughes in 36th, Trenton Cochran in 37th, Larissa Weidler in 37th, Tenove in 40th, Jade Haney in 41st and Joe Corbin in 50th place.
