Scoring early and often, the Eudora Cardinals handed the Spring Hill High School football team a 59-22 loss last Friday night.
Following a 28-yard field goal by the Broncos Carver Gertsberger, Eudora went to work. The Cardinals posted a 60-yard first quarter touchdown run and a 52-yard touchdown pass to go up 12-3.
The Eudora team dominated the second half, scoring 20 points to the Broncos’ 7 points. SHHS quarterback William Lovetinsky tossed a 37-yard touchdown pass to Roiel Swift for the Broncos’ lone second quarter score.
Spring Hill’s final touchdown came on a third quarter, 1-yard touchdown run by Tyshawn Straw. Despite the loss, Lovetinsky connected on 13 of 24 for 197 yards and two touchdowns.
Straw led the rushing effort with 49 yards on 15 totes. RayQuon added 36 more yards on nine carries.
