Barbara “Barb” Savage, Olathe, passed away Oct. 8, 2015.
Barb was born January 24, 1950 in Kansas City, MO to Benita “Jamie” (Nauman) and Paul Trower.  She grew up in Salina, Kan.  After graduating from Sacred Heart High School, she received a degree from the Kansas Technical Institute in Salina.  Barb married Russell Savage on November 28, 1970 and eventually settled in Olathe, Kan in 1978.  Barb was a homemaker and devoted mother.  She developed a keen interest in crafting, painting and genealogy and enjoyed the outdoors by camping with her many close friends and family.  In 1997, Barb suffered a debilitating stroke and spent the next 18 years in an assisted living facility in Olathe, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Deborah.  Barb is survived by her husband, Russell of Hudson, Fla, a brother Jim Trower of Salina, Kan, children Suzie Taggart and husband Martin of Shawnee, Kan and James Savage and wife Rebecca of Gardner, Kan; grandkids Ricky, Izzy, Lily, Charlie, Maggie, Darby, Kinsey, Jimmy and many nieces and nephews.
. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 pm Oct. 14, 2015 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Gardner, Kan with burial following at St. Columbia Catholic Cemetery in Gardner, Kan.
