Special to The Gardner News
Kirk & Julie Berggren have been owners of the KC Pumpkin Patch for 11 years. After losing their lease at the former Gardner location, they have now relocated to 13875 S. Gardner Road in Olathe. The new location is just 1.6 miles north of Gardner Lake, which is very close for Gardner residents.
The park features healthy entertainment that children will love, from a giant bounce pillow, to kids zip lines, to the 60 foot hill slide. There are over 50 activity items.
There are fair style concession booths where you can get kettle corn, pumpkin donuts, cotton candy, pumpkin cheesecake, funnel cakes, as well as hamburgers, hotdogs, tacos and chili.
Visitors can purchase pumpkins for seasonal uses from the huge pumpkin patch.
Ronin Stunt Company is performing a Wild West Stunt Show at KC Pumpkin Patch now and every weekend in October.
The Pumpkin Patch is open now through October 31st. It’s a family friendly place, full of safe and fun activities aimed at children up to age 13. Kids of all ages will enjoy the fun, fresh air and the fall sunshine.
Admission is $9.95 plus tax per person. They’re open 7 days a week, Monday – Friday: 9am to 3pm, Saturday: 10am to 6pm and Sunday: Noon to 6pm
The northside of the Berggren’s 40 acre farm has a 7 acre grape vineyard and is the new home of KC Wine Company, Johnson County’s newest winery.
