After four weeks of practice, the Spring Hill High School Bronco cross country teams travel to the Anderson County Invitational for the season opener, Sept. 2.
“We have a lot of new runners out and improving daily,” said SHHS Coach Brent Smitheran. “We are excited about our first meet. We have 22 runners competing in their first 5K run.”
Juniors Dylan Brenneman and Trey Mathis will set the pace for the boys’ team. Sophomores Noah Nemer and Trevor North are also on the roster.
On the girls’ side, freshmen Meghan Goff, Ashley Ingram, Allison Kosberg and Lauren Wilson are leading the way.
“Quite a few of our older runners trained throughout the summer and can’t wait to get the season started,” added Smitheran.
