Terry William Bryan, 61, of Newton, formerly of Gardner (Class of ’72), passed away August 19, 2015 at Bethesda Home, Goessel, Kan.
Terry was born July 5, 1954 in Kansas City, Mo to Louis and Imogene (Meyer) Bryan. He attended Southwestern Assemblies of God College in Waxahachie, Texas.
He married Olivia Amburn on June 9, 1979 in Haskell, Texas.
Terry was an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God and served as youth pastor in Dodge City, Kan and Mesquite, Texas. Then, he coached basketball and taught Bible and PE at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas; Englewood Christian School in Independence, Mo; Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, La; Cathedral Christian School in Beaumont, Texas; Hamilton Christian School in Lake Charles, La; and Cornerstone Christian School, Waxahachie, Texas. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marsha Bryan Voth, and brother Larry Bryan.
Terry is survived by his daughters, Kelly Bryan Nunley of Howard, Kan and Jodi Bryan of Newton, Kan; son Cody Bryan of Newton, Kan; nieces Bethany Voth Maris of Minneapolis, Minn and Amy Bryan Richards of Grand Junction, Colo. grandnephew, Kingslee Alexander Richards of Grand Junction, Colo; foster family, Archie and Linda Niccum of Gardner, Scott Niccum of Edgerton, Jennifer Dorsey of Fountain, Colo, and Laura Henson of Alma, Ariz.
Memorial services will be held 10 a.m., August 29, 2015 at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, 12400 Antioch, Overland Park, Kan. Visitation will be held at 6-8 p.m., Friday, August 28, at the church. Private family inurnment in the afternoon at the Brazilton Cemetery, Brazilton, Kan.
