Nancy Anne Campbell Dorsey was born November 5, 1948 in Evanston, Illinois and passed away at her home in Lawrence, Kansas  on  August 4, 2015  after a 60 day battle against triple negative breast cancer.
Nancy grew up in New London and Greenwich Connecticut, and was a graduate of the University of Kansas in 1972.
Nancy enjoyed playing duplicate bridge and travelling.  She was brave enough to move to Saudi Arabia in 1984 for five years with 5 month old twins, a 4 year old and a son in sixth grade.  She was able to visit 26 countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa and even the Seychelles Islands in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
Nancy taught special education in the Hillsborough School District, Hillsborough, New Jersey from 1992 until her retirement in 2005.
She was a member and secretary for the local chapter of NAMI and was a member of the Kaw Valley Bridge Group.
Nancy was known for her sense of humor and her devotion to her family.  She believed in being kind to people regardless of their race, religion or country of origin and had friends all over the world.  She also had countless friends in the Princeton, New Jersey area and in Lawrence, Ks. She will be missed by her friends and remembered for a life well lived by a woman well loved.
She was preceded in death by her mother Jean Scheibel Campbell and her father Laurie Hudson Campbell.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years Gene A. Dorsey and her four sons and families:  David A. Dorsey of Ft Myers, Fla and his wife Bonnie and daughter Emily and son Samuel; Mark G. Dorsey of Cranberry Twsp, Pa, his wife Gina and son Jackson; Todd A. Dorsey and Kyle A. Dorsey of Denver, Colo. She is also survived by her three sisters, Carol Carter (Steve) of Fairway, Kan.; Susan Bailey (Pete) of Annapolis, Md; and Barbara Liberman (Scott) of St. Louis, Mo.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in her name to the University of Kansas Cancer Center or go to web site and click on donations. She has donated her body to the University of Kansas Medical Center for research and training purposes.  Private family services are pending.
