Kansas boasts the 12th best schools in the nation, according to WalletHub, a personal finance website.
Analysts for the group compared the quality of education in 50 states and the District of Columbia using 13 key metrics including pupil-teacher ratio, dropout rates, standardized test scores and bullying incident rates.
The study determined that Kansas ranks eighth in math test scores, third in pupil-teacher ration, fourth in school safety and 10th in average SAT score. The full report can be viewed online at
