Posting a perfect 9-0 record, Spring Hill High School’s Sarah Brown was recently named Tri-County Spotlight Pitcher of the Year.
She helped the Broncos earn the class 4A Regional title and the team’s first appearance in the state tournament since 2004.
“Sarah was a huge part of our success this year,” said SHHS Coach Shelly Huber. “She got it done in the circle and at the plate.”
Brown had a 1.65 ERA, pitching 60 innings for Spring Hill.
Offensively, Brown had a .316 batting average with 15 hits and four doubles. She drove in 11 runs and scored10.
Spring Hill went 20-2 during the season and had a 2-0 record in regionals, but lost a tough 3-1 game to Baldwin High School.
