Coached by Steve Adamson, the Gardner Ice 18-and-under softball team remains competitive in the Blue Valley League this summer.
On opening night, the team swept a doubleheader by scores of 14-0 and 11-10. The team currently owns a 3-1 league mark.
“We hit the ball well in both games,” said Adamson.” Our hitters were aggressive at the plate and put the ball in play each inning.”
The Gardner Ice began the season at the Summer Legacy tournament in Blue Springs, Mo.
