Beverly Ann Burgdorfer, 90, of Gardner, Kan. passed away June 13, 2015 at Brookside Retirement Community in Overbrook.
Beverly was born November 3, 1924 in Kansas City, Mo. to Melvin Chester and Clarice (Waddell) Bohn.  She grew up in Kansas City, Mo. and graduated from Paseo High School.  She went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in foreign language from University of Missouri-Kansas City.  Beverly married Armand DeWitt Burgdorfer June 5, 1948 in Kansas City, Mo.  They moved to Gunnison, Co then lived in Overland Park until buying a dairy farm in Gardner in 1950.
Beverly was a 60 year member and Past Matron of the Gardner Eastern Star Chapter #236.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafts and has been working on her family genealogy for the last 15 years.  She was always busy on the farm with her husband, where they raised their four children and one grandson, Jude.  She will be dearly missed.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband in 2011; parents and son, Don A Burgdorfer.  She is survived by her children: Robert “Bob” and Cindy Burgdorfer of Chicago, Ill. Roger and Jan Burgdorfer of Olathe, Kan. and Janet and Jim Davis of Augusta, Kan; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
