A 3-1 loss to Baldwin in first round 4A state play ended the season for Coach Shelly Huber and her Spring Hill High School Bronco softball team.
Mary Kate Hale took the tough pitching loss to the rival Baldwin Bulldogs.
“Mary Kate threw well enough to win,” Huber said. “We just did not hit well. That’s the best season we’ve had in a while. I’m really proud of the girls.”
Spring Hill finished the season with 20 wins and two losses. The squad also loses three seniors – Chasity Ward, Jenna Nevius, and Hailey Hilgendorf.
“We wish them well as they go on and do great things,” added Huber.
