The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a newborn Black Angus calf.
The calf, owned by Bill Bushno of Gardner, went missing on April 4, and the sheriff’s office is investigating it as a theft. The calf was taken from a four-acre pasture near 207th and Gardner Road just after its birth.
Bushno does not know if the calf had any white markings. He reported to law enforcement that there were no signs of a the calf being pulled by predators and the pasture fence was secure at the time the calf went missing.
Anyone who may have information about the calf, including rumors, is asked to contact JCSO Detective Brett Wilson at 913-715-5561.
