Free Summer Food Service Program Expands in 2015
The USD 231 Nutrition Services Department has been feeding children between the ages of 1 to 18 free breakfast and lunches
during the summer months for the last five summers.  A total of 72,389 meals were served to 21,025 children during this time.
In the past, Gardner Elementary was the only USD 231 school to qualify for this program.
This year, two more USD 231 schools have qualified to offer this benefit to our communities youth. Children may visit Moonlight Elementary and Edgerton
Elementary this summer as well as Wheatridge Middle School . Due to renovation at Gardner Elementary this  summer, the program
will be held at Wheatridge Middle School.
The schedule for the following schools are:
June 1, 2015 – July 24, 2015
Moonlight Elementary:       Breakfast  7:45 – 8:45 a.m.       Lunch   11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.
Edgerton Elementary:         Breakfast  7:45 – 8:45 a.m.       Lunch   11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
Wheatridge Middle:            Breakfast  7:30 – 8:30 a.m.       Lunch   11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.
Adults over the age of 18 can purchase a meal for a small fee of $2.10 for breakfast and $3.70 for lunch.
