In his state of the city address, Edgerton Mayor Don Roberts highlighted a number of new businesses that have opened their doors in the community in the last few years.
They include:
• ACA Catering/A Cup Above

From their made from scratch breads and muffins to their sandwiches and food bars, ACA Catering provides the right food to make events a success. In addition to catering, the eatery also boasts a restaurant and coffee shop in downtown Edgerton, where guests can enjoy a cup of Joe and sandwiches, soups and salads.
• BrickHouse Fitness
318 E. Nelson
Opening in late 2014, BrickHouse Fitness provides strength training, high-intensity interval training, mixed-martial arts training and youth fitness and agility classes for people of all ages.
• Cottonwood Roofing
316 E. Nelson
Trusted by real estate and homeowners throughout the Kansas City metro area, Cottonwood Roofing Company is a family-owned business offering high-quality roofing installation, repairs and roofing inspections.

DEMDACO specializes in artist-driven gift and home décor products that lift the spirits and help people connect. DEMDACO was the first tenant at the Logistics Park-Kansas City (LPKC). DEMDACO relocated their distribution center from North Kansas City to Edgerton. Their Edgerton warehousing occupies 330,000-square feet at LPKC.
• Flexsteel

Flexsteel Industries purchased 500,000 square-feet of industrial space at LPKC. One of the nation’s oldest and largest furniture manufacturers, Flexsteel will enter the Kansas City distribution market for the first-time with their new facility in Edgerton.
• Kubota
30901 W. 191st
Kubota Tractor Corporation, the U.S. marketer and distributor of Kubota-engineered and manufactured machinery and equipment, signed a long-term lease to open a 450,000 square-foot parts warehouse in Edgerton. Officials anticipate the facility will open in late 2015.
• Smart Warhousing
18905 Kill Creek Road
Smart Warehousing, a third-party logistics company signed a lease to occupy a 354,000 square-foot warehouse at LPKC in early 2014. The company recently announced it will expand its footprint by occupying an additional 220,000-square feet at LPKC, bringing its total footprint to 575,000-square feet in Edgerton.
