Margaret “Margie” Stuteville, 70, of Spring Hill, Kan. passed away December 23,
2014 at Olathe Medical Center.
Margaret was born January 20, 1944 in Stilwell, Kan. to Eugene Willis, Sr. and
Clara Belle “Peg” (Watterson) Knoche. She attended grade school in Martin City,
Mo.and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Martin City as a child.
She graduated from Grandview High School and later went on to earn an
Associate’s Degree in computer technology from JCCC. Margie married her
sweetie, Kenneth Vernon “Ken” Stuteville, on October 20, 1962 in Stanley, Kan.. She
worked for over 25 years for Honeywell in Olathe as an electronic technician.
Margie was a member of the Free Deliverance Chapel of Spring Hill, and served as
an Associate Pastor and organist since 1982. She was also a member of the Red Hat
Society and the DAR. Margie enjoyed researching ancestry, cooking, gardening,
watching TV and movies and reading mystery and religious books. Most of all she
loved spending time with and spoiling her children, grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Eugene Willis Knoche, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, of the home; children: Toni and John
Berry, Olathe, Butch and Jackee Stuteville, Wellsville, Annette and Tim Hyland,
Quenemo, and Robin and Devon Miller, Eudora; sister, Carol Ann Petterson,
Grandview; brother, Charles Knoche, Holden, nine grandchildren: Bridgett, Rusty,
Kenny, Jennifer, Whitney, Ashley, Emily, Tara and Tanya and nine
great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Bruce Funeral
Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, (913) 592-2244. Burial following at Aubry
Cemetery, Stilwell, Visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday, December 29, 2014
