Scoring just three points in the first quarter, the Gardner Edgerton High School Blazer junior varsity boys basketball team lost a 49-45 non-conference home game to Olathe North last week.
“The kids battled back, but turnovers and missed free throws hurt us down the stretch,” said GEHS Coach Curtis Barnes.
Despite the loss, GEHS got 15 points from John Bangert and nine from Bryson Rohr. Conner Boyt had eight points and Jacob Garrett scored five. Zach Bass, Austin Hatton, and Eli Reynolds each had two points. Hunter Boyt and Blake Alsup had one point.
