Pauline Sharp, 78, of Stilwell, KS, passed away October 19, 2014 at her home.
Pauline was born April 7, 1936 in Long Lane, MO to Elizabeth (Legan) and John Christian. She attended school in Long Lane and Buffalo, MO. Pauline married Jack T. Sharp on October 24, 1958 in Miami, Okla., and they moved to the Stilwell community, where they raised their family and worked side by side on the family dairy farm. She was co-owner of Sharp’s Country Hayrides with her son Rodney and worked as a store manager for Stilwell Grocery. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and living on the farm. Attending country music shows and horse pulls with her husband were favorite activities. She spent the final year of her life enjoying the companionship of her loving friend, Junior Byrd. She dearly loved her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jack in 2006 and 11 siblings. Pauline is survived by sons Larry Sharp and wife Ellie, of S.D.; Rodney Sharp and wife Terry, and Bryan Sharp and wife Kay, of Stilwell; daughter Paulette Osborn and husband Bill of Spring Hill; brother Frank Christian of Mo., eight grandchildren: Stacey, Ryan, Clay, Zoey, Molly, Becky, Dan and Amy; and 10 great grandchildren: Joel, Jade, Cameron, Kellen, Miranda, Eli, Tait, Bridger, Delaney, and Tali.
. A Memorial Service was held October 27, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Stilwell, 199th and Broadmoor. Visitation was before the service, with a private inurnment later on the family farm.
