Jonah Francis Wheeler, 18, of Gardner, passed away October 5, 2014.
Jonah was born November 19, 1995 in Syracuse, N.Y. He grew up in New York, moved to the Kansas City area in 2007, and to Gardner, Kan three years ago. Jonah graduated from Gardner Edgerton High School in 2013. He enjoyed cooking and worked as a cook at several Gardner-area establishments in recent years
. From the time he was a small child, Jonah’s passion was cars. He was anticipating enrollment at the Universal Technical Institute in Orlando, FL in early 2015. He was also a beloved member of “Project G”, a local Gardner based Car Club. He will be sorely missed by family and friends. His loss will be felt throughout the Gardner Community and beyond.
Jonah is survived by his mother, Deidra Marie, and father Keith Alan Barnett, Gardner, maternal grandparents, Robert Francis and Charlotte May Wheeler, Baldwinsville, N.Y.; paternal grandparents, Michael Alan Barnett, Leavenworth, Kan and Robin Logan-Sullivan, Oologah, Okla.
and many aunts, uncles.
