Eight members of the Wheatridge Middle School cross country team scored medals in the Spring Hill Classic last week.
Kenzie Gust was a top, WMS seventh grade girl finisher, bringing home a third place medal. She was closely followed by Shelby Baldwin who took fourth place. WMS’ Erin Smith took 16th.
In the seventh grade boys competition, Mitch Lumley earned a fifth-place medal. Chase Eccles took 15th, Kole Edwards took 25th, Triston Gibson followed closely in 26th place, Logan Kleinsorge finished in 28th, Ryan Blackwell was 29th and Jackson Edwards crossed the finish line in 30th.
WMS’ eighth grade girls earned three medals on the day. Skyler Bartels finished in fourth place, followed by Haley Meyers in ninth place and Jamie Gaither in 15th.
Two WMS eighth grade boys earned medals at the Spring Hill Classic. Tim Stuart took 24th place, and Rodolfo Berrum took fourth. Other racers included Noah Spencer, who finished in 13th place; Josh Lopeman, who finished in 17th place; Trenton Bilhimer, who finished in 22nd place; and Taylor Lindburg, who took 23rd place.
