School officials may redraw boundaries for USD 231 school board member districts. There are seven board of education members – two from each of three districts and one at-large school board member.
USD 231 is working with a demographer to determine whether the population has shifted enough to require different boundaries. The demographer will use 2010 U.S. Census information to assist in making a determination.
State statue requires that the district redraw boundaries when the population of each district is 5 percent above or below the mean population in all board member districts.
The board member districts were last redrawn in 2004.
