Spring Hill High School students Connor Hecke and Ali Davids will be representing Kansas in the National Poultry Judging competition in Louisville, Kentucky in October. They are members of the Miami County Senior Team who won first place at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson this past weekend. They judged live production pens of chickens, carcasses, graded eggs, candled eggs, and identified cuts of meat. Teams from across the state of Kansas competed in the poultry contest.
The Miami County Intermediate team won third place honors in the competition. Members of the team include Christa Dienes and Logan Hecke, students at Spring Hill Middle School. All are members of Trailblazer 4-H and Miami County Poultry Club.
