Dakota Stueber scored two goals leading the Gardner Edgerton High School Blazer boys varsity soccer squad to a 3-0 win against Shawnee Heights High School in the season opener last week.
Off an assist from Jordan Peralez, GEHS went up 1-0 on an early goal by Stueber. Just before halftime, GEHS owned a 2-0 lead thanks to a Steuber goal assisted by Sam Mayeske.
A final score came from Jahmir Clark.
Freshman goalie Tavita Ploetz earned his first career shutout in his first high school game.
Another top defensive effort came from Ashton Vega.
