The Gardner City Council will be considering adoption of an Integrated Resource Plan for the City’s Electric Utility at its August 18, 2014, meeting. The Integrated Resource Plan will be reviewed by the City’s Electric Utility Advisory Board at its August 14, 2014, meeting. The City purchases hydro-electric power from the Western Area Power Administration (Western). The Energy Policy Act of 1992 requires all Western customers to file an Integrated Resource Plan.
A copy of the final draft of the Integrated Resource Plan, dated July 30, 2014, is posted on the City’s website and is available for review in the Gardner City Hall at the Community Development/Public Works counter.
The public is invited to review and comment on the Integrated Resource Plan. Written or emailed comments will be received until the close of business on August 12, 2014.
