Lucky Clover 4-H is in Shawnee. The group is an active club with 21 members involved in community service and various 4-H activities.  Community service activities have included Christmas caroling at a nursing home, donating food for the food pantry at Gracepoint Church where the club holds its monthly meetings, and filling shoe boxes to be sent around the world for Operation Christmas Child.
In addition to community service projects, the club is very involved in 4-H activities like cake decorating, foods, arts and crafts, rabbits and goats. Every year several club members enter talks, solos, and other events in the County Club Day, and the group also writes and produces a skit. The group is the proud winner of a purple ribbon.
Every year, members also make a club banner for the county fair.In 2013, the club banner earned Grand Champion, and members are hopeful they can accomplish the same thing in 2014.
The Lucky Clover club participates in a fundraising activity each year to help pay for club activities. This year, the group hosted a bake sale at the Shawnee Craft Fair.  Everyone loved the cookies, bread, and other treats, and the fundraiser was a great success.
The group has been recognized this year at a T-Bones game. Members got to walk on the field and introduce their club and their projects.
Lucky Clover members have worked very hard this year to get new members, to receive good ribbons, and to raise money for the club.
