After nearly a month of practice, the Spring Hill High School Lady Bronco track team begins the season April 4 at the Baldwin Invitational.
Coach Brad Reinking welcomed 27 Broncos at the first practice and has been busy preparing the team for the season opener.
“The kids have been working hard in practice, and we are anxious to get the season going,” said Reinking.
Top returners include junior Eliza Little, 400 meters and relays; junior Lara Spaulding, high jump;  junior Macy Burke, distance; junior Tessa Davids, 300 hurdles and sprints; sophomore Gabby Patillo, high jump; and sophomore Jamie Hoffman, long jump.
Reinking said the keys to success this season will be staying healthy and keeping a good work ethic.
“It is our goal that the track athletes are students first and foremost. It has been the reputation of the track team to take pride in their class work as well as on the track,” he said.
