Alyssa Thomson

Bruce Funeral Home would like to introduce A new funeral director and embalmer, Alyssa Thomson.  Thomson is from Norton, Kan., and is a 2012 graduate of Kansas City Kansas Community College.   She passed the National Boards, served a year’s apprenticeship with Bruce Funeral Home and then passed the Kansas State Boards earning her funeral director and embalmer licenses.
Thomson is currently working on a new program with Bruce Funeral Home owners Shirley Brown-VanArsdale, Shane Brown and Scott Brown.  This program encourages families to “Have the Talk of a Lifetime.”  People talk about many things with their loved ones:  from day-to-day details to big events.  Sharing stories with those who matter most is not just important today; it will be especially significant when it is time to commemorate a life.  Bruce Funeral Home is proud to announce its participation in “Have the Talk of a Lifetime,” a national effort to encourage families to have conversations about life and what matters most.  These discussions can help families make important decisions about how they wish to remember and honor the lives of their loved ones.
Bruce Funeral Home encourages families to “Have the Talk of a Lifetime”.  They invite people to visit with the new funeral director, Alyssa Thomson, or other staff directors, to begin the process of preparing for future funeral needs with Bruce Funeral Home.  With facilities in Gardner and Spring Hill, appointments are just a phone call away, (913)856-7111 or (913)592-2244.
