Four agenda items relating to the BNSF Intermodal project were the topics of discussion at the Edgerton Planning Commission meeting on March 12.
The commission approved a Preliminary Plat Plan and Preliminary Site Plan, both requested by the Allen Group, for property at the northwest corner of 191st Street and Waverly Road, Edgerton. The property would be the future site of Logistics Park Kansas City.
Also, a request by Tim Gates, of Agnes Gates Realty, to table further discussion concerning a Conditional Use Permit for a proposed lighted billboard at 20080 Homestead Lane, until the May 14 Planning Commission meeting, was approved.
Gates would like the additional time to compile and prepare more information concerning the project. Mr. Gates is requesting approval of the billboard on behalf of Jeffrey and Jennifer Thorp.
The last item of business on the agenda concerned a rezoning request by the Schlagel Family LLC for property along 191st Street, east of Homestead Lane. The request was approved by the commission.
The next Edgerton Planning Commision meeting is at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, at Edgerton City Hall.
