Jacob Bonham,Dustin Williams, Emilio Fowler and Seth Pesek brought back first place finishes from the Johnson County wrestling classic at Blue Valley high school Dec 14-15.
Bonham, just a freshman, won the 106 pound division. He pinned the number one seed in the semifinals and then scored a 4-2 decision over Sam Elliott of Blue Valley Northwest in the championship.
Equally impressive was junior Dustin Williams who captured the 160 pound title. He continued his undefeated season with a dominating 21-8 win over Josh Miller of De Soto in the finals.
Fowler found gold at 182 pounds with a 2-0 shut out of John Reuter of Shawnee Mission East in the finals.
Pesek claimed first at 195 pounds with a close 5-4 decision over Mario Galvin of Shawnee Mission Northwest in the final.
Other Blazers placing were:
Kiefer Price-6th place at 126 pounds
TJ Burger-7th at 113 pounds
Tyler Ewbank-7th at 132 pounds
The Blazers finished fourth out of 21 teams in an elite field.
