The Pioneer Ridge seventh grade girls’ varsity basketball team concluded their season with a Frontier League post-season tournament at Spring Hill last week.
Against Spring Hill, PRMS dropped a close 30-27 decision despite 10 points from Taylor Carpenter and nine points from Mykah Andregg.
Defensively, Carpenter collected eight steals. Regan Putnam and Hannah Hawkins had four steals a piece.
In the season finale, Pioneer lost a 28-16 decision to Eudora despite 12 points from Carpenter. Hawkins and Andregg added two points apiece. Carpenter collected four steals. Lauren Highfill and Hope Lamb had three steals each.
Pioneer concluded the season at 4-12 and showed marked improvement against top ranked Wheatridge and Paola.
