Ardris Lucille Londene, 76, ofSpring Hill,Kan.passed away Nov. 11, 2012 at Kansas City Hospice House.
Ardris was born Aug. 29, 1936 in Tribune, Art and Bessie Ann (Ritter) Pearson. She grew up in Tribune where she graduated fromGreeleyCountyHigh School. Ardris graduated from Emporia State Teacher’s College where she met her husband.
Ardris married John Edward “Jack” Londene on June 2, 1957 in Tribune and they then moved toMacksville,Kan.where Jack took his first teaching position.
They next moved to Spring Hill in 1961 where they settled and raised their family.
She was employed as a medical technologist atGardnerCommunityHospitalfor 35 years and worked for 10 years for the State ofKansasas an Inspector of Laboratories for the Department of Health and Environment.
Ardris was a member ofSpringHillBaptistChurch. She loved gardening, reading and researching her family genealogy. Ardris enjoyed her children and grandchildren’s sports activities. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack in 2000; sister, Marian Day and brother, Arthur Pearson.
Ardris is survived by her son, David Londene, ofSpring Hill,Kan.; daughter, Erin and husband, Warren Kolz, ofLawrence,Kan.; brother, Stanley Pearson, of Scott City, Kan.; grandchildren, Scott Quiring, Michael and Shelby Londene.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Nov. 14, 2012 at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, KS(913)592-2244. Burial follows at SpringHillCemetery. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House. Condolences may be left at
