OLATHE – Indian Trail Middle School was recently recognized by the Kansas State Department of Education as a Title 1 Reward School.
Reward schools are identified as the top 10 percent of Title 1 schools and are selected based upon high academic performance or high academic progress. In the state, 66 schools were named Reward schools.
“I am so very proud of the Indian Trail staff for all their hard work and dedication to academic excellence on a daily basis,” Indian Trail Middle School Principal Rebecca Vrbas said. “The commitment and hard work by both students and staff over the past few years has led to this very special award. The Indian Trail community is committed to continue the tradition of academic excellence as we move toward the future.”
“We are very happy for Indian Trail and their recent success,” Assistant Superintendent Erin Dugan said. “This is an example of excellence in middle school education in the Olathe Public Schools and a true testament to the dedication that our principals have to providing a high quality middle school learning environment. Kudos to the staff and students of Indian Trail for all they do to achieve such outstanding results.”
