Ross was born June 15, 1935 in Ekalaka, Mont. to the late Gene and Maude Billingsly Caton.
He was a retired VP for Agri-Loan Equitable and a member of Lake Fork Baptist Church. He was a 32 degree Mason with the Valley of Northeast Kansas Lodge, and a former Steer Wrestler with the PRCA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother David Caton.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Anne Caton, of Alba, Texas; sons Homer “Tuff” Caton and wife Dorothia, of Des Moines, Iowa., C.R. Caton, of Dallas, Texas; daughter Barbara Dains and husband Christopher, of Kansas City, Kan.; sister Isabelle Caton, of Great Falls, Mont.; grandchildren Caleb Caton and wife Heather, Winston Caton, Cheyenne Dains, Sheby Dains, Joseph Dains, Ben Dains, Emmi Caton, Augustus Caton; and a great-grandchild, Austin.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
