Robert (Bob) Cordell passed away suddenly on June 14, 2012 in Mesa, Ariz. from natural causes.
Bob was born Dec. 4, 1939 in Gardner, Kan. to Art and Thelma Cordell. He was raised in Gardner, Kan. and married his high school sweetheart, Karen Skaer, in 1957.
He attended the University of Kansas and received a BA in Business in 1964. He also attended the College of Great Falls and then received his MBA from the University of Montana in 1972.
Bob and Karen moved to Great Falls, Mont. in 1966 where he was the CFO at Northern Testing for over 30 years. They also lived in Dallas, Texas; Boise, Idaho; Denver, Colo. and most recently have been snowbirds to Mesa, Ariz. which became their permanent residence.
Bob was a caring father to his boys and was very proud of his grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family, following their sporting events and sharing in their joy. His hobbies included basketball, softball and his main passion, golf. Bob was also an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. Bob will be deeply missed, remembered and loved by his family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Art and Thelma Cordell;his sister Patti; in laws Gil and Arlene Skaer; brother in law, George Skaer.
Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Karen Cordell, of the home; sister Betty Coble, of Gardner; sons Mark (Ann) Cordell, of Casper, Wyo., Scott (Kathy) Cordell, of Cheyenne, Wyo., Craig (Karen) Cordell, of Inkom, Idaho and Todd Cordell, of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren, Nathan, Tyler, Adam, Kelli and Tiana; great-grandchildren, Rian and Cayson.
Cremation. Family memorial services were held June 20, 2012 at the Las Palmas Grande Club House, in Mesa, Ariz.
