The monthly meeting of the Prairie Star 4-H Club, was held on April 9 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds. The meeting was called to order by President Haylee Burk and pledges were led by Macy Loring and Kara McCormick. Roll call was answered with, “How many pets do you have?”  There were 22 members present.  We had one guest, Alena Rodriguez.
Hunter Burk gave the treasurer’s report, and the club has a total of $1,067.28. Tucker Davis reported he turned in the minutes from the last monthly meeting and Anthony Deters gave the historian’s report. Lauren Molenda gave the communications report, and read the minutes from the last monthly meeting and stand approved as read.
Marlene Muellner gave the community leader’s report and told about our T-shirt contest , 4-H camp registration deadlines, registration for stock shows, and said that the project add/drop deadline is May 1. Our project leaders talked about the T-shirt design as well.  Everyone was asked to turn in their money from Price Chopper books.  There will be Judging school and a potluck at our next meeting.
Savanah Muellner gave a talk about judging school and Lauren Molenda spoke about raising betas.
A motion was made by Macy Loring to adjourn the meeting, Anthony Deters seconded the motion. The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m., May 14 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds.
