Myrl Elizabeth MacCallum Perdue passed away peacefully March 29, 2012 from the affects of a heart attack she had on March 26, 2012
Myrl was born on Oct. 23, 1919 in Kansas City, Kan. to David I. MacCallum and Ruth Eleta Robertson. She graduated from Wyandotte High School.
Myrl owned and operated several small businesses in Kansas City and in Colorado, including restaurants and beauty shops. She ended her working career as head of the Cosmetology Department at Lamar State College. She then spent the next 13 years raising champion Arabian show horses with her husband Darrell Perdue who preceded her in death.
She eventually moved to Gardner, Kan. to be near family.
She leaves behind her sons, James Byron and Bruce MacCallum Carter; daughter-in-law Dixie Diane Carter; grandchildren David Howard Carter, Diana Lynn Williams, Rebecca Sue DeNoon, and Shawn Curtis Carter; great-grandchildren Joseph and Leah DeNoon, Russell and John Williams, and Teresa Batchman; and great-great-grandchildren Alex and Monica Williams.
Myrl left a wide circle of relatives, friends and neighbors and loved them all.
