Christopher Thomas “Chris” Keck, 45, of Gardner, Kan., passed away March 22, 2012.
Chris was born June 1, 1966 in Kansas City, Mo. to Harold Thomas and Sharron Morissey Keck. He graduated from Hickman Mills High School, Kansas City, Mo., and Calvary Bible College in Belton, Mo.
He served four years in the U.S. Air Force as an Avionics Specialist, and also served in the Reserves.
Chris married Nicole Rae Tessier on May 3, 1992 in Raytown, Mo. They moved to Gardner in 2005.
He was the Transportation Manager for Iron Mountain Shredding Co. in North Kansas City.
Chris was a dedicated husband and father. Chris loved being involved with his children’s activities.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed being an adult Sunday School Teacher.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharron Benavides.
Chris is survived by his wife Nicole; children Ryan, Kyle, Caleb, Rachel and Emma, all of the home; father Harold Keck of Independence, Mo.; step father Mike Benavides of North Kansas City, Mo.; sisters Lisa Lysell of Parkville, Mo. and Tricia Seitz of Loch Lloyd, Mo.; and brother Mike Keck of Arlington, Va.
Funeral Services will be 11:30 a.m., March 28, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church, 8130 Lackman, Lenexa, KS. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., before the service at the church. Burial with Military Honors at Gardner Cemetery. Arrangements: Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, (913) 856-7111.
