An Ottawa woman was injured in a rollover accident on Interstate 35 just north of the Moonlight Road overpass on Jan. 31.
The accident happened about 11:12 p.m.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Lisha J. Hobbs, 40, was driving a 1998 Ford truck southbound on I-35 when her vehicle experienced a “tire malfuction.”
That caused the vehicle to leave the roadway, roll twice and come to rest on its side.
Hobbs was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
Her condition was not available at press time.
A fatality accident took place near the same location hours earlier.
In that accident, Jennifer Diane Curbow, 32, of Edgerton, and Jason Richard Mees, 32, of Hiawatha were killed when their vehicle overturned on southbound I-35 near Moonlight Road. Mees was driving. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene.
