Harvey George Wise, Jr., 76, Gardner, Kan., passed away Jan. 13, 2012 at Olathe Medical Center.
Harvey was born April 26, 1935 in Olathe Township, Kan. to Harvey George and Josephine Mary (Meyer) Wise.
Harvey served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a concrete driver for Botsford in Lenexa and was a radio technician. Harvey retired in 1985.
He was a member of the Local Teamsters #541, and the Lenexa VFW Post.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Mary Kay Callahan, and his sister in-law Elfrieda Wise.
Harvey is survived by Virginia Wise, of Spring Hill; his daughters Darla Faye Dugger and Bob of Knoxville, Tenn. and Marilyn Kubec and Joe of Paola, Kan.; sons Matthew Wise of Gardner, Rodney Wise and Misty of Wesson, Mass.; son in-law Kevin Callahan; siblings Bob Wise of Gardner, Chuck and Pat Wise of Wellsville, Kan., Rose Brown of Kansas City, Kan., Leonard and Pat Haefele of Lenexa, Kan., Everett and Mary Jane Redd of LaCygne, Kan., and Ted and Judy Huskisson of Shawnee, Kan.; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m., Jan. 17, 2012 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 555 W Main, Gardner, KS. Burial following at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Lenexa, Kan. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Jan. 16, 2012 with an 8 p.m. Rosary at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, (913)856-7111. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors.
