Coby Morris’ second-place finish at 195 pounds highlighted the Broncos’ effort at the Eudora Invitational on Dec. 10.
All told, Spring Hill had 194 points and finished fourth in a very competitive 24-team field.
“Overall, I was pleased with our effort,” said coach Tucker Woofter. “The kids learned a lot and improved. We are excited about getting back to work to prepare for the Johnson County Classic.”
Besides Morris, Spring Hill got third-place finishes from Taylor Smith (113 pounds), Corey Spader (120 pounds), and Blake Hampton (160 pounds).
Skyler Crookston also finished fourth at 160 pounds and seventh-place awards went to heavyweight Chris Terrazas and Caleb Volkman at 152 pounds.
Tyler Crabtree finished eighth at 132 pounds to complete the Bronco scoring.
The varsity takes to the mats Dec. 16-17 at the Johnson County Classic at Blue Valley. The junior varsity will compete at the Blue Valley Northwest and Leavenworth Invitational on Dec. 16-17.
