An Olathe woman sustained serious injuries in a two-car crash on Interstate 35 just after midnight on Nov. 2.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Belinda Ann Williams, 33, was hospitalized after the 1999 Ford Escort she was driving struck the rear of a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier just south of 95th Street.
According to the Highway Patrol’s report, Williams was traveling at a high rate of speed when the crash occured.
Williams was transported to Overland Park Regional Hospital with disabling injuries.
Her condition was not known at press time.
The Cavalier was driven by Laura Katherine Schreiber, 18, of Olathe.
She and her passenger, Brittni Faith Holland, 17, of Olathe, sustained possible injuries but were not hospitalized.
All three were wearing seat belts.
The accident closed southbound I-35 for about two hours.
