Members of the Gardner Gold Special Olympics Team competed in the Regional Bowling Tournament on Oct. 22 at College Lanes in Overland Park. Ten Gardner Gold athletes competed and will move on to compete in the state bowling tournament in a few weeks.
Gold medals were awarded to Arianna Aldridge, Josh Cowel, Tamara Holmes, Grant Jordan and Will Scheffer. Silver medals went to Skyler Aldridge, Corinne Currier, Ryan Prothe, and Ryan Toews. Katie Bailey earned a fifth place ribbon.
Coaches recognized Tamara for bowling her best game ever of 132, and Grant for bowling five strikes in a row and a 191 score.
