Three persons were injured in a mobile home fire in Gardner on Oct. 23.
According to Battalion Chief Kirk Keller of Johnson County Fire District No. 1., the fire started in a mobile home at 967 Cimarron Trail just before 9 a.m. and spread to an adjacent mobile home at 971 Cimarron Trail.
Three persons in the first mobile home were evacuated and then treated and released at an area hospital.
“They got out with the help of a neighbor,” Keller said.
The second mobile home was not occupied.
Both mobile homes were deemed total losses, although a dollar amount had not yet been established for the damage.
The fire took about 90 minutes to bring under control.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
Keller said five fire engines and 16 personnel from Johnson County Fire District No. 1 responded to the fire.
Personnel and fire engines from the Olathe Fire Department and Johnson County Consolidated Fire District No. 2 also responded.
