Wheatridge’s cross country team earned 8 medals, including 5 top 3 medals at the Blazer Invitational, Sept. 29.
In seventh grade girls competition, Madison Edmisten finished second with a personal best time. She missed the school record by four seconds.
Destiny Smith finished fourth; Aubree Grantz, fifth; Caenah Coffman, sixth; Alexis Kutcher, eighth; Kenna Gillespe, 12th;  Maddie Allen, 13th; Molia Gonzalez-Neale, 16th; and Montse Anza, 17th.
For the seventh grade boys, Taylor Chamber placed second; Michael Kittleson, sixth; Daniel Alatorre, 10th; Jose Ortega, 11th; Josh Cowel, 16th; Eric Zimmer, 18th; and Jeremy Zamora,19th.
For the eighth grade girls, Miranda Tenove, Lyric Henderson, and Lindsey Plank brought home gold, silver and bronze medals. Diana Martinez took eighth place.
In the 8th grade boys competition, Jesse Molenda took fourth; Joel Rains , seventh; Quade Nelson, 12th; Dylan Adams, 14th; and Jackson Godwin, 16th.
