Kade Frizzell scored the lone goal of the game as GEHS’ varsity soccer squad escaped with a hard fought 1-0  victory at Ottawa, Sept. 29.
The assist came from Soven Apel. He found Frizzell on a long pass leading to the games only goal.
“We were missing some guys in the backfield, so we had to have some people step up and fill some roles,” said coach Andy Weber.
Andrew Dittemore recorded his second straight shutout as GEHS improved to 3-5-2.
It was the same winning story in JV action as GEHS battled back for a 3-2 win.
Goals were made by Dalton Shump, Juan Carlos Ramirez, and Dakota Steuber.
The JV now owns a 7-3 record. JV and varsity action continues Oct. 4 at Blue Valley Southwest.
