Annual Cemetery Walk
Sept. 15 & 17
5th Annual Cemetery Walk hosted by the Gardner Historical Museum will feature the “Best Of” from previous years.  The museum is also compiling a commemorative book that will cover past Walks, with photos and narratives.  If you have questions or would like to volunteer for a portrayal, please send an e-mail via our website at or leave a message at the Museum, (913) 856-4447.  Ticket information will be available at a later date.
Military Tribute
and Exhibit
The Gardner Historical Museum will kick off their annual Military Tribute and Exhibit with a USO Show to honor the World War II era.  The best feature of this event is pie that will be served for a donation.  The museum is planning entertainment surprises outside with the Military Exhibit featured inside.  For more information regarding the exhibit call the museum at (913) 856-4447.


Spring Hill
Farmers Market
Saturdays thru Sept. 24,
7:30 a.m. to Noon
Spring Hill Lions Club is the sponsor of the SH farmers market.  The market is 11 years strong and growing every year.  The market has 17 vendors with items ranging from blackberries, pototoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, cantaloup, cabbage, onions and pears to artesian jams and jellies, breads and biscottis, handmade cold press soaps, bath and body products, recycled, beaded serving pieces, homemade cards, bath fizzies cupcakes, lotion bars, doedorants, and much more.  All vendors are located within a 50 mile radius of Spring Hill.  The Spring Hill Farmers Market is located on South Webster near 215th St. at the Elementary school.
Harvesters Food
First Monday of the month, 9:30 a.m.
The public is invited to the Gardner Church of the Nazarene to pick up food provided by Harvesters. Anyone is eligible to receive goods.  For more information on the distribution, or to volunteer to help distribute items, please contact the church at (913) 856-8307
Gardner Farmers Market
Thursdays thru Sept. 1,
4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Gardner Farmers Market is located in the vacant lot at the North East corner of Main and Sycamore.  Parking is available in the parking lots of adjacent businesses.  The market has 14 vendor with items ranging from peaches, plums, tomatoes, sweet corn, beets, blackberries, cantaloupe, zucchini, peppers, grean beans to handcrafted cold process soaps, sugar scrubs, lip balm, lotion, dog treats, cakes, cookies, cupcakes, popcorn, shaved Ice and much more.  The market is celebrating their third year.  For more information contact Melanie Gieringer at (913) 893-9626.
American Legion
Leroy Hill Post No. 19 monthly meetings are held the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Legion Hall at 315 Meadwobrook Circle, Gardner.
Gardner Veterans of Foreign Wars
Gardner Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11234 meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. meetings are held at the Conestoga Estates Club House.  Any United States Veteran is eligible to join the post.  For information on eligibility or other questions contact Mike Hutton at (913) 856-8007.
American Legion
Leroy Hill Unit No. 19 ladies auxiliary meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Legion Hall at 315 Meadowbrook Circle, Gardner.
“Young Children Priority One.” Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and community at a time.  Meetings are held the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:30 a.m. at the Conestoga Estates Clubhouse.

Weight Watchers
Weight Watchers meetings are on Tuesday evenings for anyone who wishes to attend at the Spring Hill Civic Center.  Weigh in starts at 5:30 p.m. and the meetings start at 6 p.m.  There is a weekly fee payable to Weight Watchers.
