MARY LOUISE HARTMAN
Mary Louise Hartman, 86, of Wellsville, KS, formerly of Gardner, went to her heavenly home on May 24, 2011 at Olathe Medical Center.  Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Friday, May 27, 2011 at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, KS, 913-856-7111.  Burial will be at 2:30 pm Friday, May 27, 2011 at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery, Fort Leavenworth, KS.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am before the service at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Ottawa, KS. Mary was born May 29, 1924 in Mt. Washington, Missouri to Raymond and Rosie (Michaelis) Peden.  She graduated from Concordia High School, Concordia, MO.  Mary married Robert F. Hartman on January 25, 1942 in Sedalia, MO, and they made their home in Gardner.  She worked at the Sunflower Ordinance Plant, DeSoto, KS to help with the war effort.  In 1974 she worked on the assembly line at the Delco Battery Factory, retiring in 1987.  Mary also helped her husband as a KC Star carrier.  She moved to Wellsville in the 1990’s.  Mary was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Ottawa. She was very devoted in her faith and was a faithful witness to God’s grace. Mary wanted it to be known that she received her God given sobriety at the Olathe AA Club. She was an avid Bible reader.  She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert in 1992, infant son Kent Douglas Hartman, daughter Diane Keil and two grandsons Craig and Chris.  Mary is survived by her children Fred R. Hartman and wife Pam of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Robyn Harris and husband Dwayne of Paola, KS; sister Katherine; three grandchildren Jeff, Rachel and Jacob; and five great grandchildren
